This interactive light installation traveled all the way from Thailand to make its U.S. debut at the 2025 World of Winter Festival. Inspired by the warmth of a traditional bonfire, the piece invites participants to gather and share stories at nearby microphone stations. Each voice transforms into its own rhythm and color, illuminating the LED “fire” in real time. The more stories shared, the brighter and more dynamic the bonfire grows — creating a living, ever-changing artwork that captures the collective spirit of the community.

Artist Statement:

“Bon{d}fire” is an interactive light installation inspired by the traditional bonfire experience. This installation features a bonfire-like LED structure, where participants can share their stories at surrounding stations equipped with microphones. As each story is told, the voice is converted into unique rhythms and colors that illuminate the bonfire. The more stories shared, the more vibrant and dynamic the bonfire becomes, creating a living, evolving artwork that embodies the collective spirit of the community.
