Infinity Mountains

Display Year:

2023

Infinity Mountains was a 3D installation arranged in alignment with the four sacred directions, North, South, East, and West, the four acrylic, mirror-covered geometric structures represented sacred mountains. The peaks symbolized the closest point a human could be to the Creator while remaining grounded, a place where prayers could be heard more clearly.

From these peaks, the melting snow, life’s pure essence, flowed down the mountains, inspiring the smooth, reflective surfaces that mirrored the surrounding environment and life in real time.

Artist Statement:

I find reflective materials to be a fascinating medium to work with as the surface “color” of the materials change with the environment surrounding it, the atmospheric conditions and azimuth angle of the sun.

You will never have the same experience with Infinity Mountains twice, as the combination of light angle, quality brightness and color are variable.

Your experience with my work, is also an experience of you in my work. You become the work, and the work becomes you, if only for that moment in time.
