Paper Mache artist who creates unique small and large scale installations for
businesses and events, resulting in greater brand recognition for small businesses,
community engagement and a bit of nostalgic handmade craft. Kara uses “throw away”
materials, such as discarded cardboard, packaging previously used in shipping (bubble
wrap, craft paper wrap, plastic wrapping) and leftover paint from community donations.
She incorporates simple motors and pulleys to make the paper mache creations move in
small ways, drawing in the audience. Kara is a Grand Rapids resident, she has lived
here 33 years
