Life is But a Dream is a playful and reflective public art installation consisting of three oversized steel sculptures representing folded paper boats. They cast intricate light and shadow patterns that change throughout the day.

This installation invites viewers to reconnect with the simplicity and joy of childhood, evoking memories of folding paper boats on a summer’s day. Artist Bio

Valerie Wahna is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who blends her fine arts background with corporate experience. After earning a degree in printmaking, she worked in retail design and advertising, and has taught at Kent State University. Now focused on public art, Valerie leads VW Design Studio, collaborating with a small team on creative projects. She has exhibited in solo and group shows regionally and actively contributes to the public art scene.
