Artist Statement:

Massimals: Grand Rapids is a public art commission situated to activate use of Blue Bridge in downtown Grand Rapids during the World of Winter national design exhibition in 2022. Following this it was acquired by Downtown Grand Rapids for permanent installation on the Blue Bridge.

The Massimals project has generated previous iterations out of a variety of material and assembly techniques, but has primarily been presented within the confines of museums and galleries. The Massimals: Grand Rapids expands the project with placement of the objects in an outdoor location to encourage engagement with art and design.
