This steel sculpture is based on a theme of stars and other cosmic phenomena.
Our hope is that this piece could help foster an inspiring atmosphere that provides opportunities for exploration and selfies. Interacting with the vibrant colors that are sound activated its intended to provide drama for visitors in both the day and the night.
Valerie Wahna is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who blends her fine arts background with corporate experience. After earning a degree in printmaking, she worked in retail design and advertising, and has taught at Kent State University. Now focused on public art, Valerie leads VW Design Studio, collaborating with a small team on creative projects. She has exhibited in solo and group shows regionally and actively contributes to the public art scene.
